HGTV Magazine Feature

In April of 2019 the Editor of HGTV Magazine, Samantha Roberts, reached out to me. She informed me she was working on their October issue and asked if they could include Plush Pup Inc's Black Bird dog bed in the shoot. Of course, it was like a bolt of lightning came in and sparked up my day. Everything I was doing at that moment came to a complete holt and I refocused all my energy on providing Samantha with everything she needed for the photo shoot. This was my second chance to be featured in HGTV Magazine. The previous summer my home decor line, Hackner Home, was selected for a chance to be featured. While Hackner Home's cloth napkins were not selected for that particular shoot, the experience made me all the more ready now. This was my second chance and it was going to happen. I just knew it. Do you believe in divine provision? Well, that is exactly what I prayed for earlier that morning. Not that every time you pray for something it suddenly drops in your lap but ToDAY it did.

Once it was published and "out on the self" I drove to my local grocery store, took a copy and showed it to the poor gentleman next to me who was delightfully amused by my excitement. Wouldn't you do the same? After sewing & designing soft home goods for five years, over seven thousand items sold, for babies, doggies, and grown-ups alike, it felt like I had finally arrived at the top of Mount Everest. A dream came true and an amazing accomplishment professionally. It has been a funny trip, life, but I am swerving with the curves. Making lemonade from lemons and believing there is a purpose, and plan for my life that is better than anything I can dream up on my own.
